Arabic calligraphy — khatt — is more than writing; it is considered one of the highest forms of art in Islamic civilization. The qalam (reed pen) is cut at a precise angle, and each script style — from the flowing Naskh to the monumental Kufic — carries centuries of cultural meaning. This calligraphy set includes three gold-plated nibs, each cut for a different script style, along with natural plant-based ink and sheets of handmade cotton paper from the mills of Jeddah.
